Being able to perform a proper pull up with perfect form is one of the greatest achievements you can do, but to be able to gain this achievement you need a pull up bar.
Sure, many people opt for the door mounted pull up bar, but they aren’t particularly stable, and they can be really irritating (particularly for tall people).
The best form of pull up bar is the wall mounted pull up bar, in this article we are going to take a look at five of the best wall mounted pull up bars around.
Best Wall Mounted Pull Up Bar #1: Merax Wall Mount Pull Up Bar

The first wall mounted pull up bar on our list is made by Merax, a company that sells a huge range of different products.
The Merax pull up bar is an excellent piece of kit, it uses a multi-position grip, meaning that you can perform chin ups, mixed grips, wide pull ups, narrow pull ups, and neutral grip pull ups comfortably.
The bar is 48 inches wide, which gives you a lot more space than most wall mounted pull up bars.
It also utilizes knurled hand grips which not only guide you to where you should put your hands but help to improve your grip and prevent slipping.
The wall mounted pull up bar also contains two suspension anchors, these are small rings from which you can attach a punch bag, TRX, yoga straps, or resistance bands.
Massively increasing the amount of exercises, you can perform on it.
The product is made from solid steel and should last you a long time, it has a max user capacity of 286lbs (130kg), which means that the majority of people should be absolutely safe to use it.
Best Wall Mounted Pull Up Bar #2: Yes4All Wall Mount Chin Up Bar

This next wall mounted pull up bar is a great choice for those on a budget, it’s not as fancy as the Merax one, but it will get the job done.
The bar is made from one piece of solid steel and you attach it to two poles that attach to the wall.
There is padding along the center of the bar, on the two neutral grip handles, and at the ends of the pull up bar.
These foam grips improve comfort and reduce the risk of slipping.
Considering how low the price is, the durability and quality of the pull up bar is surprisingly high.
The maximum user capacity for this pull up bar is 300lbs! Which is even more than the Merax wall mounted pull up bar offers!
This is a great pull up bar, that will get the job done and will hardly set you back at all when it comes to paying for it.
Best Wall Mounted Pull Up Bar #3: BKISY Wall Mounted Pull Up Bar

This next product is really cleverly designed, so much so that it took us a while to work it out!
So, the BKISY wall mounted pull up bar can either be used as a pull up bar or as a dip bar.
Instead of attaching the frame directly to the wall, you attach strong suspension hooks to the wall.
Then, you attach the frame so that it is either in dip station mode or pull up bar mode.
Once you have completed the exercise you can remove the frame from the suspension hooks and turn it round, from dip station to pull up bar or vice versa.
Because of the design, the BKISY wall mounted pull up bar is by far the strongest pull up bar on this list, with a maximum user capacity of … wait for it … 660lbs!
That’s more than double the max user capacity of the Yes4All model. The frame has fantastic cushioning, and multiple grips for pull ups.
You can perform regular, neutral, or underhand pull ups quite easily on this.
Best Wall Mounted Pull Up Bar #4: Fitness Maniac Heavy Duty Wall Mounted Pull Up Bar

There’s not much to say about this pull up bar really, it’s not particularly fancy.
There aren’t a lot of bells and whistles attached.
The reason why Fitness Maniac’s pull up bar is on this list is because it is wonderfully constructed, has a great bar with multiple grips, and uses high quality steel.
Sometimes that’s all you need in a wall mounted pull up bar, something that you know is going to take your weight and last you a long time.
Sadly, that doesn’t make for the most exciting reviews. But at least you know you’re getting a quality product!
Best Wall Mounted Pull Up Bar #5: EASY BIG Wall Mounted Pull Up Bar

Our final wall mounted pull up bar comes from EASY BIG, and it is a really solid piece of equipment.
For the most part this is a pull up bar, but it has also been designed to work as a dip station and is also designed to hold a punch bag.
There is a caveat though, it would be very difficult to set this up so that you could use it as a pull up bar and a dip station.
For a dip station you’d want it to be quite low to the ground so that you have enough space to raise your body over it.
However, this would then make it impossible to use as a pull up bar as you’d be too close to the ground.
The same issue would happen if you placed it high enough for it to work as a pull up bar, suddenly your head is hitting the ceiling whenever you dip (if you can even reach it).
Truth is that this should be used as a pull up bar, and you should forget about it as a dip bar.
It can still be used for hanging a punching bag off of, and you could also attach a TRX or similar resistance band.
The max weight supported by the bar is 440lbs so you should be fine to perform pull ups (or even weighted pull ups if you own a pull up belt).
The pull up bar also has a lifetime warranty, which is a great sign of quality in our opinion.
